MIS to Host Women in Cybersecurity Conference

October 04, 2016

The MIS department is proud to announce our participation in the 4th annual Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) conference to be held on March 31 - April 1, 2017 at the J.W. Marriott Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, AZ.

The Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) initiative was launched in 2013 with support from National Science Foundation for a collaborative project between Tennessee Tech, University of Memphis and Jackson State Community College.

MIS Hosts WiCyS 2017Since then, with support from various industry, government and academic partners, WiCyS has grown into a premier event designed to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity. It brings together women from academia, research and industry for sharing of knowledge/experience, networking and mentoring.

WiCyS 2017 is expecting 800 attendees who will enjoy presentations, panels, workshops, lighting talks, a birds-of-a-feather session, mentoring opportunities, poster sessions, and a career fair.

WiCyS offers sponsorship opportunities for companies, organizations, or academic units to showcase their products and/or to recruit the bright young minds of tomorrow. Partnership opportunities are available at different levels for corporate partners, as well as academic and non-profit organizations. More at https://www.csc.tntech.edu/wicys/sponsor/
