A Tradition of Excellence from World Renowned Faculty
For the last four decades the faculty at the University of Arizona's Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) has focused on education, research and outreach.
Education: The MIS department at the University of Arizona pioneered one of the first MIS programs in the world. It is one of only three programs in the United States that has had at least one of its programs ranked among the top-five since the inception of these rankings in 1989 by US News and World Report. The MIS department has the largest faculty and Ph.D. program among top-five ranked MIS programs.
Research: Our faculty has an impact on the MIS field through their continuous publishing efforts in referred conferences and well known journals. Their basic and applied research has been presented at conferences and universities around the globe and has been published can be found in leading national and international research publications including: ACM Transactions on Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, Management Science, and MIS Quarterly.
Outreach: We are very proud of our faculty members and how they have helped to Shape the Future of IT. They have received numerous recognitions for their accomplishments and their contributions to the field. Our MIS faculty are UA Regents' Professors, Faculty Fellows, Chairs, Professors, Fellows, journal editors, and conference and workshop chairs.
