The MIS department at the University of Arizona is the recipient of a GenCyber grant, and with it, promotes and hosts scholarship camps for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and their teachers.

These camps involve hands-on and investigative activities to educate about the principles, risks, and applications of cybersecurity, social media, and mobile app development.

This summer the camps will be held in three different locations. The dates and locations are:

• June 26-30, 2017 at the University of Arizona, Tucson AZ
• July 10-14, 2017 at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ
• July 24-28, 2017 at University of Arizona, South, Sierra Vista, AZ

There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

GenCyber is a nation-wide grant program funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Security Agency (NSA). With the intent of building excitement and awareness of this important field, GenCyber provides funding to programs with introduce middle and high students and their teachers to the fields of cybersecurity.
