This is an application that’s similar to Google Maps, but is specifically designed for the University of Arizona. It would display the shortest path possible to your classes, with clear, step-by-step directions just like on Google Maps. What distinguishes this from other apps of its kind is that not only would it show the shortest path, including walking through the Mall rather than around it, but also shows the correct entrance to enter a building to get to class the fastest. There will be adjustable settings: based on walking speed, traffic, direct you to the nearest bike rack to the building, alarms for waking up to leave for class on-time. This makes sure that students will get accustomed to a regular schedule. This app would be more accessible than Google Maps because it would be within the Arizona Mobile App that already has an existing “Map” framework.
