Zipperman Scholars Program - Student Guidelines
The following guidelines will help Zipperman's understand what they have to do to be considered active in the program.
How long can I stay in the program?
A student can stay in the program for up to three (3) consecutive semesters.
I am new to the program this semester. Is there an event I am required to attend in order to stay active this semester?
As of Spring 2013 - all new Zipperman's MUST attend a "What the Heck is MIS" presentation. This event is offerred at least twice a smester and it may be found on the calendar page by clicking here.
What do I have to do every semester to be considered active and qualify for my stipend and/or credit?
There are three (3) types of student categories for the Zipperman program. Each category is listed below and includes what Zipperman's have to do to remain active.
For-credit students MUST register for the class MIS295a in order to get credit. View the MIS295a syllabus here.
Number of events/activities to attend per semester. View current list of offerings on the calendar page.
|Reflection paper at end of semester||1,000 words||750 words||None|
How do I RSVP to the Zipperman events?
The Zipperman calendar will list all of the events for the semester and how to RSVP to them. Some events require an online RSVP - some require an email message.
I will be applying to Eller as a double major. Anything I should know about?
As a Zipperman Scholar, you can apply for a double major upon admission to the Professional Program (as long as one of the majors is MIS). Zipperman's are the only students in Eller who have the opportunity to double major from the get-go!! If you are applying this semseter send Patti Ota an email so she can give your name to the Undergraduate office. firstname.lastname@example.org
