Night Out with the Phoenix SunsMarch 1st |
Night Out with the Phoenix Suns Day/Date: Thurs. March 1st Details: This trip to the U.S. Airways Arena and the Phoenix Suns has become a ZipS tradition. We will meet with Jeramie McPeek, Vice President of Digital Services, and Bill Bolt, Vice President of Information Services, of the Phoenix Suns. Following the meetings, our group will be given a special behind the scenes tour of the U.S. Airways Center with an emphasis on its IT infrastructure. We will get front row seats to watch the team warm-ups. Suns player Channing Frye and former Arizona Wildcat will come over and greet us. We will stay and watch the Suns game play the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hopefully we will be able to meet Derrick Williams as well. |

Meet the MIS "Social Media Superstar" Professor - Dr. Sudha Ram Day/Date: Wed. March 28, 2012 Details: Come enjoy an evening with an MIS "Superstar" of research and teaching Dr. Sudha Ram. Dr. Ram is a world renown author, researcher, instructor and Co-Director of INSITE: Business Intelligence and Analytic Center. Her center focuses on analyzing social media and how people use it. The data the center collects is then used to help businesses bring their products to market more efficiently. She also teaches classes on social media. More here. |

Meet the MIS "Artificial Intelligence Superstar" Professor - Dr. Hsinchun Chen Day/Date: Mon. April 2, 2012 Details: Come enjoy an evening with an MIS "Superstar" of research and teaching Dr. Hsinchun Chen. Dr. Chen is a world renown author, researcher, instructor and Director of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab. His AI Lab is an internationally recognized information systems research group working in security informatics, health informatics, business intelligence, and knowledge management. Dr. Chen will be giving attendees an overview of his Dark Web research activities, plus Dr. Chen's students will give demonstrations and previews of their work. |
