Application Procedures
Step One: Apply to the UA
If you are not currently a student at The University of Arizona, your first step is to apply to The University of Arizona. Please refer to The University of Arizona's web site for information on the University's admission requirements and procedures. Application forms are available for download from this site.

Once you are admitted to the University of Arizona, either as a freshman or as a transfer student, and have declared yourself as a pre-business major, you will be considered part of the Eller College of Management within The University of Arizona. However, you still need to apply for official admission into the College, usually during your sophomore year.
Step Two: Obtain Professional Admission
Once you are a pre-business student, your next step is to obtain Professional Admission. Please see the web site for the Eller College for information on obtaining Professional Admissions. During the process of applying for Professional Admission, you will be advised on how to apply to the MIS, OM, or MIS/OM majors.
Note: Students who have already obtained Professional Admission within the Eller College of Management and wish to apply to the MIS program should contact Sara Hastings at shastings@eller.arizona.edu 520.621.2505.
Advising Appointments
NOTE: Please make decisions on your academic career only AFTER speaking to an advisor.
All pre-business and lower division students obtain academic advising through the Undergraduate Programs office.

Until you are accepted by the Eller College and achieved professional admission, you are a "pre-business major" and you should work with the Pre-Business Advisors for help in understanding and fulfilling the admissions requirements.
The Academic and Career Advisor for MIS/OM Majors who have achieved professional admission is Sara Hastings.
Scheduling an Appointment for MIS/OM Majors
Please go to the Undergraduate Programs page on the Eller College of Management website. From this web page, you will be able to schedule an appointment with an advisor, learn when walk-in advising is available, and submit advising questions via e-mail.
To schedule an appointment, click on "eSMS Advising Appointment." You will be asked to enter your Net ID and your PIN.
Undergraduate students who have obtained professional admission status and have been accepted as MIS and/or OM majors may see Sara Hastings, their major advisor, either by appointment or during walk-in hours.

Financial Aid/Expenses
The Department of Management Information Systems does not handle financial aid and scholarships directly.
