NEW Distance Learning Enterprise Security Certificate. The MIS Department’s “Enterprise Security Certificate” is targeted at current at IT professionals and managers interested in Security and Information Assurance. It covers a broad spectrum of current and emerging IS Security, Enterprise systems, and Enterprise system security issues while providing a broad, up-to-date perspective on practices and challenges.

We have come a long way over the last 35 years. From our beginnings in 1974 to the present we have strived to be a leader of MIS education and Shape the Future of IT. We invite you to join us as we recognize this this momentous occasion.
New Master's Program Curriculum Announced
The time is right to implement a new and improved curriculum that will better meet both our students and industry workforce needs. The new curriculum will begin in Fall 2009.
ICIS 2009 Conference Being Planned for December 2009
The MIS Department is hosting and planning the annual International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) to be held on December 15-18, 2009 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix AZ.
Designation as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education received.
Thanks to the efforts of the MIS Department, The University of Arizona has been designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE).
