At this time we are only offering Information Assurance and Security courses online. We will be expanding our online offerings to include other topics by Fall 2010.
Enterprise Security Certificate
Information assurance and security refers to policies, procedures, methods, and techniques that protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality and non-repudiation. Courses within this certificate include
- Information Security in the Public and Private Sectors (MIS 556)
- Privacy, Information Security and Risk Analysis (MIS 557)
- Introduction to Enterprise Computing Environments (MIS 558)
Students can take all three courses as a "package" or they may take any course separately.
If all three courses are completed successfully students will receive
- The Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Information Security, from The University of Arizona’s Graduate College
- The National Security Agency’s (NSA) Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) certificates including
- CNSS 4011 – Information Systems Security Professionals
- CNSS 4012 – Senior Systems Managers
- CNSS 4016 – Risk Analyst
