MIS Board of Advisor - Styne Hill - Named One of COMPUTERWORLD's 2010 Top 100 IT Leaders

Wyllstyne “Styne” Hill, chief information officer (CIO) of Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) and MIS Board of Advisors member, has been named one of the top 100 information technology (IT) leaders by COMPUTERWORLD magazine, a trusted source of IT management news for 40 years. She will be honored at the COMPUTERWORLD IT Leaders Conference in Phoenix, March 7–9, 2010.

COMPUTERWORLD’s 2010 Premier 100 IT Leaders list honors individuals who have had a positive impact on their organizations through technology. Each year, COMPUTERWORD accepts nominations from across the industry. Eligible nominees include CIOs, chief technology officers, vice presidents, IT directors and managers.

Rebecca Rhoads, vice president of IT and CIO of Raytheon Company, nominated Hill.

“Styne is respected within the IT organization for her intuitive grasp of the changing face of IT and her willingness to take the steps to make the future a reality,” Rhoads said.

Hill was appointed to her present position in 2002. She has more than 30 years’ experience in the defense industry, having held numerous management positions. Her skills and experience leading large-scale programs and project management initiatives for IT technologies and techniques are critical to the success of Raytheon’s customers.

“It is no surprise that Styne has been honored as a premier IT leader,” said Taylor W. Lawrence, president of RMS. “She balances her technical and financial leadership with a focus on community, education and people.”
