MIS Business IntelligenceMBA with an MIS Concentration in Business Intelligence

Enrolling in the MIS/MBA Business Intelligence and Analysis track enables you to gain a competitive edge by learning critical analysis skills and gaining real world experience in both the business and technical fields.

Business Intelligence (BI) is a broad category that refers to gathering, storing, analyzing, presenting and providing access to data that  will help executives in the decision making process.

BI describes a set of concepts and methods to improve business decision making by using fact-based support systems. BI professionals provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations for business performance management purposes.

BI professionals do not need in-depth technical knowledge of the tools and computer systems they use but rather a broad base knowledge of the way business operates.

Courses within the BI concentration are:

MIS 585 - Strategic Management of Information Systems
MIS 516 - IT Security and Business Continuity
MIS 527 - Managing Enterprise Systems
MIS 587 - Business Intelligence
