The Department of Astronomy Large Binocular Telescope Interferometer (LBTI) team has an hourly paid part-time Software Programmer- Web Developer position available now as described below. If you are interested please send your resume to xiaoqin@email.arizona.edu.
As per the Astronomy dept. "Technically there's only web development involved, but this is listed it as software programmer since the candidate will be working in the software group."
Job Title: Software Programmer - Web Development (Part Time)
Duration: 6 months
Hours and Rate: 20h/week (40h/week in summer) @ 15$/hour
Job Description:
As a Web Developer you will be working on the web design and development aspects to support the operation of LBTI instrumentation running at LBT Observatory. You will be responsible for designing the web interface, maintaining the web servers and collaborating with other engineers to integrate the web interface into the LBTI software architecture.
Qualifications:
- Significant web development experiences with JavaScript
- Ability to work with Python
- Knowledge with Django web framework
- Comfortable with Unix/Linux OS
