2012 MIS Summer Internship (MISSI) — Information Systems Track

Description - Company Overview

About our IS Organization

Information Systems (IS) partners with key Toyota business units to ensure innovative technology solutions and deliver the systems necessary to support Toyota products and services. Each day, hundreds of systems track and enable the ordering, delivery, and sales of Toyota products for our associates and dealers. IS works behind the scenes ensuring the required tools and systems are fully and securely operational.


Program Overview

Each summer, Toyota hires graduate level interns for our Torrance, CA headquarters. The 12-week internship is designed to provide interns exposure to Toyota's IS Division.

Rotational opportunities may include, but are not limited to the areas of: dealer communication system, vehicle supply chain, enterprise and system security, technology uplift, mobile applications, and data analytics.

Qualifications

This summer internship requires individuals meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of the first year of a Masters degree program by Summer 2012 with a focus in a Computer Science related major and a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible work experience pre-Masters
  • Strong business sense and strategic thinking ability
  • Proven business insight, leadership initiative, and problem solving skills
  • Undergraduate BS degree in a Computer Science related major with a minimum 3.0 GPA

IS Interns are a main feeder into Toyota's full-time Graduate Management Associate (GMA) Program - Information System Track.
