MIS RANKS #1

For the 23rd consecutive year - the MIS Department at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona has been ranked a top-5 program in the country.

On August 17, 2010 U.S. News and World Report released their rankings for undergraduate programs. The MIS Department has placed 1st among public schools and 3rd among all schools.

The MIS Department has placed 1st among public schools and 3rd among all schools for the second year in a row.

The report used several categories in ranking colleges and universities in terms of best quality and best value for education. To rank colleges, U.S. News first placed each school into a category based on its mission, either a research university or national liberal arts college. Second, they gathered data from and about each school in 16 areas related to academic excellence. Third and last, the colleges were ranked based on their composite weighted score.

U.S. News reviews more than 1,800 colleges and universities across the nation. To be included in the rankings, a college or university must be regionally accredited and have a total enrollment of at least 200 students. [more]
